About

Focusing on sculpture and metal, Jon earned his studio art degree from the University of Vermont in 2012. From his time at university his art and design became strongly influenced by the Environmental artists of the 60’s and 70’s creating minimal yet massive sculptures, the Bauhaus school of thought, boiling down shapes to their most utilitarian yet artistic form, and contact improv dance, exploring how bodies move and interact with every conceivable thing.

Using modern processes, Jon loves to create interplay between the interior and exterior of his jewelry pieces. Thinking like an architect and an artist, He approaches each piece with recognition of the fact that it is a vessel both physically and metaphorically. JON IMAGINES THE SHAPES MADE BY HIS JEWELRY TO BE SPACES FOR SOMEONE ELSE’S STORIES TO RESIDE WITHIN.

Jon is an award winning jeweler who has shown his work throughout the United States. Most notably his work has been collected by the Northern New England Museum of Contemporary Art. Jon and his family Currently Reside in Burlington, Vermont.
